About

Short description

Cook with Kre is a cooking companion for iPhone and iPad: bring a recipe's web link, Kre plans the meal, then talks you through every step out loud.

Long description

Cook with Kre is a cooking companion for iPhone and iPad, made by Krenis and coming soon. Kre appears on every screen as the Hearth, the app's brand mark. Add a recipe by pasting its web link; if the page can't be read, paste the recipe text instead, because Kre never guesses a recipe it couldn't read. Pick how many people you are cooking for, add the other dishes in the meal, and Kre plans them together as one plan, aiming to have them ready at the same time. Then cook out loud. Kre talks you through one step at a time, amounts and all, while your timers run. Ask it a question, tell it you are missing an ingredient and it suggests a swap, or say "hold on" and it stops offering steps until you say "I'm back". Start speaking and it stops to listen. Rather not talk? Choose to tap through it instead, and switch any time by tapping Kre. The screen stays on while a meal is live, and Kre goes by what you tell it and by the timers, so tell it when something is done.
