Delete your Cook with Kre account

Cook with Kre is made by Krenis. You can delete your account in the app, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.

In the app

1. Open Cooking with Kre. On the start screen, tap the gear, Settings.
2. Under Account, tap Delete account.
3. The app asks Delete your account? and says “To make sure it’s you, continue with your sign-in once more.” Tap Continue with Apple and confirm with Apple.
4. When it's done, the app says Your account is deleted.

Changed your mind? Tap Keep my account instead and nothing is deleted.

If you sign in with Google, the app shows Continue with Google, but deleting a Google account in the app is not ready yet: the app says “Deleting a Google account isn’t open yet.” Please ask by email instead.

Without the app

Email Krenis support with the subject “Delete my account”. Send it from the email address of the Apple or Google account you sign in with, so we can match it to your account, and say whether you sign in with Apple or Google. If you can't send from that address, say so and we'll write back to confirm it's you before deleting anything. Email requests are handled by hand, so they take longer than deleting in the app; we'll reply when your account is deleted.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in: your account, your Apple or Google account ID and the hashed copy of your sign-in email.
• Your recipes, the copies of their sources, and your meals with their plans and conversations.
• Your sessions: you are signed out on every phone and tablet.
• For Sign in with Apple, the app's access to your Apple ID is revoked at Apple.

What is kept

• A short record that the account was deleted, holding none of your recipes or meals: about a day.
• App logs: up to 14 days.
• Database backups: up to 35 days.
• Records with an expiry, such as usage counts: until they expire.
• The operator audit log of times we looked into an account for support: 400 days.
• Prior versions of your recipe and meal files currently persist in our file storage. We can't promise they are erased until we add a rule that removes old versions.

Timeline

In the app, deletion starts as soon as you confirm: you are signed out everywhere and your account, recipes and meals are deleted within moments. A second pass about an hour later removes anything written in the meantime. If Apple can't be reached, revoking the app's access is retried later. Backups and logs age out on the schedule above.
